- Do I need help proctoring? WebXam suggests a ratio of no more than 20 test-takers per proctor. If you need assistance with proctoring, please work with your school or program administration.
- How much time do test takers need? A typical WebXam assessment for a test taker with no accommodations is limited to 40 minutes (1 minute multiplied by the number of questions on the assessment). However, some assessments are shorter, such as WebXam Pathway Practice Tests, and some are significantly longer, such as WebXam Field Tests, which may require as much as 100 minutes for test takers with no accommodations. The WebXam “About the Tests” page indicates how many items are on each assessment.
- Do my test takers have the correct accommodations? Prior to testing, ensure your test takers have the correct accommodations applied to their WebXam accounts.
- Should I allow all test takers to access the Text-to-speech (TTS) function of WebXam: New for academic year 2025-26, test activations can be modified to allow all students in a test session access to TTS. Only do so if all students have access to headphones or in testing center environments, where sound access can be controlled.
- Work with your IT department to limit or monitor what Websites your test takers can visit while testing. All WebXam resources needed for testing are available on the webxam.org domain.
