Searching for User Accounts

You can find an existing WebXam user in two ways, the search function or the list function. The search function uses information about a user’s location, fragments of his or her name, and the type of user. Using the search function returns a list of all of users of a specific type at a location.

To use the “Search” function:

  1. Login at the WebXam home page.
  2. Select the “User Search” section on the left navigation bar.
  3. You can use the search bar in the right hand corner above the roster table to search by any of the text listed in the columns.
  4. You can filter by first or last name, username, account type, or location by using the “Filters” option.
  5. Users matching your criteria will be displayed automatically after typing in those areas.
  6. You can then use the information queried in the search to find what you need.

To use the “List” function:

  1. Login at the WebXam home page.
  2. Select the section on the left navigation bar that represents what type of user you want to list (i.e., Administrator, Teacher, Assessor, Adult Student, Secondary Student).
  3. Select the “List” menu item.
  4. You can use the filters featured to search by specific items by using the “Filters” features across the top.
  5. You can also use the search bar in the right corner of the roster table to search for text from any column of the roster table.
  6. Information will be automatically displayed after you type in your choices.
