If you observe any test misconduct or security breach:
- Quietly instruct the student to stop the behavior.
- Do not escalate the situation.
- Allow the student to finish testing unless others are affected.
- Report the incident to your District Testing Coordinator (DTC) immediately.
- Submit a written report to ODEW’s Office of Career Technical Education within 10 days of the investigation.
Examples of violations include:
- Accessing unapproved resources: using a website via the testing device or a personal electronic device, or using print materials that are not in the approved materials list and/or allowed in alignment with an accommodation
- Releasing secure test content: sharing any part of the exam questions or answers in writing, electronically, or through photos/videos
- Assisting students with answers: students or staff providing any help that influences a candidate’s responses during the exam
- Unauthorized persons in the testing room: allowing anyone other than registered candidates and approved personnel to enter or remain in the exam room
- Using another person’s login credentials: logging in with someone else’s credentials to access the exam system
