What are the procedures for arranging the testing environment?

Each room where testing is taking place must be staffed by a paid staff member of the school district to proctor the examination. It is recommended that an additional proctor is used if more than 20 examinees are present. Also, it is very important that proctors observe students’ computer screens during testing to ensure that communication such as chat, email, or accessing other websites is not occurring. If a student is registered for the accommodation of having a reader or giving verbal responses to the questions, the testing must occur in a room separate from other test takers.

Please review the Test Security Rulebook for additional information

Seating:

  1. Arrange seating to prevent students from viewing each other’s computer screens or communicating with one another.
  2. If possible, seat the students rather than allowing the students to choose their own seats.
