How do I activate tests?

To activate tests:

  1. Login at the WebXam home page.
  2. Click on “Activate Test” on the left navigation bar.
  3. Select your name in the “Select the Teacher” dropdown. Click “Next”.
  4. Select the District/Career Center that owns the program you are testing for. This will auto-populate with the Teacher’s selected District/Career Center as it is listed in their account profile. Please select the appropriate District/Career Center if it is different from the teacher’s profile. If you have questions about this, please contact WebXam support or your local testing coordinator.
  5. In “Select the test type” you can choose either “Posttest”, “Pre-Test,”, “Practice Test” or “Saved Tests”. Click “Next”.
  6. In the dropdown, choose the test you want to activate. Click “Next.”
  7. In the “Select the Course” dropdown, choose the course you are testing. Click “Next”.
  8. This will open up the “Select the Students” roster. In the check box on the left hand side of the student roster, choose the students who need to take the test. Once they are chosen, click “Activate.” Those students are now set up to take that practice test for that particular course.
  9. By default, the activation window will begin immediately.  However, you can specify a later start time (up to 7 days in advance) using the “Activation Start Time” panel.
  10. The activation window is always 1 hour from the start time.

Accommodations:

  • Please verify all accommodations are set before activating.
  • When selecting students to activate, visual indicators are available for students with accommodations:
    A blue flag is displayed for students with the “Reader is Required” accommodation.
    A red flag is displayed for all other accommodations.

Notes:

  • If a student does not begin testing during the window, the session expires and the student can be reactivated for a new session at a later time.
