WebXam tests can be saved in a partially completed state in situations where there may be networking issues, a student closes their test without submitting, or students are instructed to close the test due to an emergency (e.g. fire drill, called to the office, feeling ill). WebXam preserves the test takers progress when a student leaves their test without submitting or their testing device is no longer able to communicate with the WebXam testing platform.
WebXam tests must be completed in a single session. Districts should plan their test sessions to allow the students enough time to complete their tests based on the time allowed for each student.
Tests in a saved state will be listed as “In-Progress” under the student’s account (“Secondary Student” > “List”), use the filter options to find the account, and then click the green plus icon to show the student’s information including their previous testing data).
To reactivate a test in a saved state, a teacher or administrator must complete the following steps:
- Login: Visit the WebXam.org website and log in using your credentials to access your account. If you are already logged in, proceed to the next step.
- Navigate to the “Activate Test” menu: Look for the menu option labeled “Activate Test” and follow the link.
- Follow the Prompts: You will be asked a series of questions before you can reactivate a saved test session. When prompted, select “Saved Test” as the test type option.
- Select Students and Testing Time: On the final “Activate Test” page choose the student accounts to reactivate and the date and time for the testing window.
- Activate the Testing Window: Click on the Activation button. This action will schedule the testing window. The page will also provide a link to download the student’s access codes.
- Complete the Test: After logging in the student can answer any remaining questions and review their previous responses. Students should submit the test once complete.
If you are facing specific issues with reactivating a saved test please reach out to the WebXam support team.
