During testing

  • Be sure to actively proctor your test takers by walking around the room to ensure cell phone activity is prevented.
  • If a test taker becomes ill or needs to leave, have them log out of WebXam by selecting the gear icon and choosing “Emergency Exit Test”
  • If a fire drill or other emergency happens during testing, test takers can, if possible, close the web browser window or use the “Emergency Exit Test” option as above.  If they are not able to do either, when returning to the classroom, have the test taker use the “Emergency Exit Test” option then. Do not have the test takers attempt to complete the test prior to exiting and logging back in.
  • If the user is not able to log back in after an interruption or technology disruption, it may be necessary to reactivate their test session.
  • Students may have access to scratch paper and a 4-function, non-scientific calculator. For assessments which require it in the Construction – Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Pathway, an NEC Codebook or Quick Card may also be made available to students.
  • If a test security incident occurs, report that incident to your District Testing Coordinator (DTC).
